Registration Open for ‘Metadata Matters – Collaboration, Search, and Information Governance at Brailsford & Dunlavey’ Webinar

McLean, VA, US and Stevenage, UK (PRWEB) April 28, 2015

Concept Searching, the global leader in semantic metadata generation, auto-classification, and taxonomy management software, and developer of the Smart Content Framework™, is pleased to announce that webinar registration is open for ‘Metadata Matters – Collaboration, Search, and Information Governance at Brailsford & Dunlavey’. This session will explore the importance of metadata when improving content usability and collaboration. The webinar will be held on Wednesday, May 27th, at 11:00am – 12:15pm EDT.

Brailsford & Dunlavey has earned a reputation as a premier national program management firm, and provides program management services in the AEC sector and for higher education, K-12, business and industry, and government clients. It offers comprehensive services, ranging from planning through implementation, manages all areas of risk, and maintains constant control of budget, schedule, and quality.
The firm’s goal was to update its SharePoint 2010 intranet, to refresh an out-of-the-box design and to mine an immense amount of data, to enhance findability of its content and provide staff with easily accessible data. The existing intranet lacked a clear governance structure, effective information architecture, and mobile accessibility.

With around 70,000 documents and more than 8,000 list items on its intranet, and another 200,000 on its client portal, Brailsford & Dunlavey needed a way to make intranet content significantly more accessible to employees across several national offices.

Concept Searching’s conceptClassifier for SharePoint was used to quickly identify duplicate documents within the current SharePoint environment and file shares. The technology solution easily migrated content, automatically applied content types, and aligned governance policies, enabling the intranet portal to be significantly improved.
Webinar attendees will experience firsthand from Brailsford & Dunlavey:

  • What was achieved from a technology perspective
  • How all the firm’s documents were tagged and classified
  • Challenges, lessons learned, and benefits of the solution
  • The intranet in action for its users

Questions can be submitted when registering, and will be addressed during the webinar. Those unable to attend the webinar can still register, and will be sent the webinar recording and presentation.

This webinar has been designed for SharePoint Architects and Administrators, Office 365 and One Drive for Business Administrators, and Compliance, Legal, Security, and Information Governance Professionals.
