Engineering Search and Artificial Intelligence – A Match Made in Heaven
Our last few blogs have focused on engineering search, a game-changing solution for engineering professionals, enabling them to find what they need, when they need it, and for it to be relevant to the task at hand.
This is aligned with the digital workplace, where end users must be able to retrieve information that is pertinent to what they are doing at the time.
Our solution links all unstructured, semi-structured, and structured data into a unified search interface. If the data resides in another application, after viewing the result, the application can be launched if needed.
This is where Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Business Intelligence (BI) come in. Since we automatically generate multi-term metadata using our compound term processing engine, auto-classify it, and provide the tools to manage the taxonomy, the rich, conceptual metadata in the index, in this case SharePoint search, can automatically populate AI or BI applications. This is an awesome feature.
The solution works with any application for BI or AI, such as Power BI, Birst, Qlik, or Cortana Analytics Suite. One of our clients has all of these installed.
That’s all folks, for the moment on engineering search. Stay tuned for the dangers of collaboration.
Join us for our ‘Collaboration Can Be Dangerous’ webinar on Tuesday, April 4th. Opening the floodgates to information sharing may have unintended consequences. This webinar examines secure collaboration, and discusses ways to overcome potential security breaches.
