Live Demonstrations
1. HMSO General Demonstration Click here for the demo
Try a search such as: insider dealing. Note the relevance ranked extracts returned; in addition on the left hand side of the page review the dynamically created related concepts. These are created on the fly and are relative to the users query. Try checkboxing a couple of the terms, hit the search button and note the new dynamically created extracts and terms.
Review the 3 yellow buttons adjacent to the search box. The first shows the XML of the query, the second the XML of the returned hit list and the third the XSL style sheet. Competent XML programmers can use this exposed data to integrate with other applications and build truly intelligent applications. The use of the style sheet means that a user interface can be modified in a matter of minutes changing buttons adding filters and making web services calls to the engine to display data in the way the user wants to be presented.
Finally, click the search using IPSV classification link to see this taxonomy standard implemented with the HMSO data.
