Knowledge Management for Law Firms

SyseroKS (Knowledge Search), developed on the Microsoft SharePoint platform, provides powerful features for search, robust taxonomy development and management functionality that enhances content access to existing knowledge repositories. Knowledge libraries can be templates, precedents, model documents and clauses held in file systems, databases, SharePoint or document management systems such as Worksite, DOCS/DM5 or Documentum.

SyseroKS uses SharePoint’s workflow abilities to control the submission, classify, review and renew process and is fully integrated with Microsoft Office.

SyserosKB (Knowledge Builder) is integrated into Microsoft Word (2003 or 2007) and provides the ability to build internal knowledge libraries, templates and clauses for reuse. SyseroKB allows authorized users to submit documents, paragraphs and templates for inclusion in a central knowledge area, called the KM Library. Working from within the Word interface, staff can submit their own documents or just useful paragraphs.

Managing templates is often a challenge for law firms. SysteroKB allows knowledge management personnel to use existing documents to build a library that combines templates, clauses and documents.
